How do I get rid of the permanent wheelgun noise?

That´s caused by a misplaced file in the original rfactor installation, ..\rFactor\GameData\Sounds\Ambient\Fans_normal_1.wav.

To get rid of the wheelgun noise you can either delete that file or install an alternative sound file for that. See the attachment for an example.
